I was working as a bartender in Boston’s Back Bay when my interest in training was sparked. I had spent years working in the restaurant industry. From dishwasher to prep cook, cook to server, bartender to assistant manager. To finally working as the Restaurant Manager for a fine dining establishment. It’s always been in my nature to serve others.
One day while roaming around a local gym, not really knowing what I was doing, I came to the realization that many others also didn’t know what they were doing. A conversation with my wife and a few weeks later, I enrolled in The National Personal Training Institute. To this day I’m still not sure when the exact moment was that I decided this is what I wanted to do, but I was certain.
While enrolled with NPTI I found a gym to start my career at. I worked as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Consultant, and Group Trainer. I loved working with people and guiding them through a problem-solving process.
In about 2008 someone introduced me to CrossFit. Initially I dismissed it without spending much time educating myself at all on the topic. A bit later, maybe 2010 I stumbled upon CrossFit.com again, only this time I was intrigued. I had found what I wanted to do next.
Another conversation with my wife and I decided to leave my job and create my own gym. CrossFit 603 was born in 2011.
To this day I do my best to serve the local community.
Passions include spending time with my beautiful wife and two children. I love to write, and read as much as possible.

My athletic background consists of over 20 years of competitive dancing – everything from contemporary, jazz, tap, lyric, ballet, pointe, tumbling, modern, etc. You name it – I danced it. Ever since I was 2 years old and first stepped foot into a dance studio, I was obsessed with it. It got serious in high school and then I was torn between going to college or pursuing a full-time dance career; I chose college, but still minored in Dance and taught classes whenever and wherever I could.
After college, I continued taking classes around Boston and surrounding areas in order to “stay in shape”. I even branched out of the dance world and started trying every other workout class I could find in an effort to find something that could keep my interest and show results since it seemed like my metabolism wasn’t quite what it used to be. Nothing was working. Until I found CrossFit.
I remember stumbling upon CrossFit 603’s website back in October 2015 and I immediately decided to pop in to check it out later that day. I had heard so many people talk so highly about CrossFit and I had seen so many people make incredible life changes and I wanted that for myself, but I was hesitant thinking about whether or not I would ever be able to “handle” CrossFit.
And then I fell in love. I fell in love with the programming, I fell in love with the culture at 603, I fell in love with the positive changes that I was experiencing both in and out of the gym, and I knew it was only the beginning.
I approached Todd about 8 or 9 months after I became a member and expressed my interest in becoming a Coach. I loved teaching Dance for all the years that I did and I felt like Coaching was the right road for me. I love helping people get better at their sport and I love knowing that I played a role in their progress. I achieved my CFL1 in September 2016 and I’m looking forward to a long future Coaching for 603!
At times I’m a man of many words, and others none. Be cautious when I’m not because if one offers the time, I’ll happily chat about anything until we’re off on a tangent that has nothing to do with the original conversation.
The things that make me happy are; being a father, family, friends, training and learning. On the contrary, I dislike raw tomatoes, and #hashtags. My main objective, after earning my CFL1, is to help others fulfill their fitness goals and break out of their comfort zones, through guidance, coaching and mentoring. #expectmore …Okay, only this one time.
