What is crossfit anyway?
We get this question all the time. It's really easy to give you an answer that you may not understand. It's also really easy to show you. Though perhaps our favorite method here at CrossFit603 to explain what CrossFit is, is to explain what it isn't.
Crossfit603 isn't a bunch of trainers simply handing you weights and throwing a bunch of random exercises at you. We actually believe that this is counterproductive. We believe that mechanics come first. We don't fix mechanics under load. When you can demonstrate good sound mechanics consistently you'll be progressed. How can we assess the way you move and spot issues that may need to be addressed, if you're struggling to stay upright under a load that you shouldn't be under? How can we help you if you're hurt? You won't get that with us.
CrossFit603 isn't a bunch of trainers yelling and screaming. In our opinion this is distracting, and to be honest...boring. We will never make someone feel uncomfortable, intimidated or weak. You won't get that with us.
CrossFit603 isn't a bunch of trainers pretending to be trainers. We didn't send away for a couple of books, skim through them then take a test. CrossFit trainers are certified through CrossFit. We didn't learn without doing. You won't get that with us.
At CrossFit603 you will not get a trainer who is sitting down or on the phone texting. You won't get mocked or yelled at. You won't get put down. You won't get a bad trainer. You won't get any of that with us.
What you will get is energetic, fun, motivated, current, educated trainers who will make you better no matter what it takes. You will also get support, from us and our community. You will make new friends. You will get challenging workouts with a never ending supply of variation. You will become a better you.
